Pumpkin pie and kittens December 4, 2008

Tonight I venture into the land of baking.  I am making my very first pumpkin pie to take to a work potluck tomorrow.  Wish me luck!

Nettles and Cosmo are doing much better.  I think they’ve gotten most of their growls out of their system, which is great because I’m tired of Cosmo trying to play and Nettles turning into a demon from hell.  Said demon scratched Chris up pretty bad the other night….not cool!

Today I watched as Nettles approached Cosmo, albeit apprehensively, and sniffed, but as soon as Cosmo showed interest, the hissing and growling and running away ensued.  Nettles is such a pushover.

Then, I just walked in the door from running some errands, and as I did, I saw Nettles run off in one direction and Cosmo run off in another direction.  Like two children doing something they weren’t supposed to be doing, or two teenagers getting handsy until someone else walks into the room.  I can’t imagine what they were doing.

I bet they’re just showing out for the humans.

Roxy now has a playmate, as one of my roomies has a cat as well – Max. They live on different floors in the house. Max could really care less about Roxy, but Roxy’s super interested until she gets close to Max and as soon as Max reciprocates any interest, Roxy hisses. I don’t think she’s trying to scare Max, I just don’t think she knows what to do about him. It’s too bad they’re both fixed. They’d make way cute cat babies.
