While I’m working, or while I’m out with Chris somewhere, or while I am absolutely no where I can make a post, I come up with the best topics to write about. But, when I’m at home and have a moment to think and sit and write, and want to, I am unable to remember [...]

I thought of something else to add to the definition of homeownership.
Sore muscles and joints!
I hate wallpaper.
Housing it up.

The definition of homeownership in the dictionary is finding random horrible things which much be fixed, lots of exhaustive work and many many (expensive) trips to Lowe’s.
Ok, it really isn’t, but it should be. I’ve seen the inside of Lowe’s so many times in 2 days, I think I could go awhile without going [...]

We close on our house in two days. OMG.
We have successfully (I say we, but really it’s Chris. Without his financial expertise and his detail oriented brain, this never would have happened. I’m more of a “ooh, that’s pretty. I want” kind of girl with a little buyers remorse later) saved more than my [...]

Today I accomplished a lot, for me.
I was up at a reasonable time (before 9 am!). And I planned my day. I did some time looking up things on the internet.
I took my shower and planned my errands. Then I made a list of what I needed to do today. Then ventured out [...]
Feels like spring

Today felt like a beautiful warm spring day. That’s quite lucky for Alabama in August, for the state that has summer and not-summer, but really nothing in between.
Because of the nice cool air, I’ve been very comfortable in the apartment. So I didn’t want to leave today to run errands, I just wanted to [...]
Domestic Much?

So, today I woke up with El Esposo, even though I didn’t have to. Many mornings I’m in bed when he leaves, and I thought that I should start making breakfast for us. I hear all the time that eating breakfast helps you for the rest of your day, but I never was much of [...]
Why i have an iPhone

So after my increasing frustration with verizon last week I was ready to throw my phone off of a really high cliff into a very swift moving river. I got so frustrated that I had almost resigned myself to thinking that I was just never meant to take calls in my humble apartment.
So, imagine [...]
It’s hot.

It’s hot. Damnably hot.
It’s 12:30 p.m. and the heat index is already over 100. That means that around 3, the heat index will be at its zenith for the day here, and it will be well over 100. Ugh. I’m over summer in Alabama already.
My beautiful vaulted ceilings are great until I have to [...]
Lurking in the bathroom….

So, I found this in the bathroom this evening.
It’s apparently a house centipede, and is pretty harmless, and takes on such creatures like the cockroach. But I don’t care. Don’t lurk in my bathtub!
Then Chris found this blog from someone else, and it’s way funnier than I could ever be.
